Falmouth is one of the first communities of West Hants to be settled. Appreciated for it’s rich dyke and farm lands along the Avon River, it was first settled in the 1680’s by French settlers from Annapolis Royal, then again by the English in the 1750’s, Planters in 1760’s and Americans in the 1780’s. It still remains a prosperous farming community. Probably best known today as a bedroom community to Windsor and its commerce, it attracts residences with its new homes, golf course ,recreational park, vineyard, historic sites, nurseries and overall scenery along the Avon River.
With easy access to Hwy 101 and only 30 minutes to Metro, it is still a great place to settle.
